Summary

The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for the transition and admission of Deerhaven clientele in and out of the program. He or she will answer phones; discuss program details with potential clients and family members and provide detailed explanations regarding our program, coordinate transportation to and from the facility during the intake and discharge process. The focus of this job is on achieving results which are aligned with the larger picture of the organization and its strategic goals. Initiative, coupled with a sense of competitive drive, and the ability to stay focused on results despite changing conditions is the key to achieving the performance objectives of this job. While the job requires the ability to act independently, a sense of urgency and the confidence to handle a variety of challenges, a full commitment to the success of the business and high standards of achievement are expected in this position. Essential Duties

  • Marketing/Admissions/Referrals
  • Initial Screening and Initial Intake Assessment
  • Gathering and compilation of demographic information
  • Ancillary needs of the clientele that will assist with transition into the program
  • Record keeping
  • Assist when a patient is in crisis and makes appropriate referrals if needed
  • Answering incoming phone calls of prospective clients and/or family members looking for treatment
  • Maintaining a customer relationship database utilizing CRM (Zendesk).
  • Conduct Pre-Admission Screenings and Assessments with clients to ensure client meets program criteria
  • Consult with clinical team as needed to ensure potential admissions meet inclusion criteria for admission.
  • Provide potential admitting client and/or family members with list of items to pack for treatment as well as any additional information as deemed appropriate to ensure a smooth transition into treatment.
  • Refer clients requiring services (that fall outside of Company’s scope) to appropriate agencies
  • Communicate with families or referral sources as deemed appropriate
  • Follow-up with clients whom have completed the program successfully; in accordance with company policy
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications/Requirements

Preferred

  • Advanced knowledge of the Sinclair Method
  • Personal experience utilizing the Sinclair Method in recovery
  • Previous sales Experience
  • Knowledge of treatment and referral community in North Carolina

Minimum

  • Education Background meets at least one of the following:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in human service Field
    • High School Diploma/GED, plus a required minimum of 4 years prior experience
  • Previous Experience working in Substance Abuse/Mental Health Treatment (Minimum 2 years)
    • The ability to work flexible hours including some evening and weekend requirements
    • Knowledge of substance abuse issues and addictive behaviors
  • Specific knowledge helpful in process addiction and treatment resources
  • Basic understanding of the Sinclair Method
  • Current certification in First Aid/CPR
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Current TB test clearance
  • Background check
