Summary

The Facility Director is responsible for the overall operations of the treatment program to ensure that all day-to-day processes are running smoothly, including but not limited to: collaboration in the development of the program, support and mentoring of clients while in treatment, and acting liaison for communication between all departments. Acts as the central receiver of pertinent clinical data and works closely with the Clinical Director in the formulation of treatment planning, responding to crisis within the milieu and planning for the needs of clients and client milieu to ensure efficacy of service delivery. The focus of this job is making connections with people, motivating, and inspiring them to achieve results. A sincere appreciation for people and how they are each uniquely motivated is the foundation for designing and implementing interactive communication and decision-making processes. The ability to understand, quickly react and motivate others to adapt to the changing organization environment is a critical key to success. In general, the core of this position requires a motivated and motivating team builder and organization developer.

Essential Functions

  • Oversee day-to-day program and facility operations
  • Establish a vision for product and service delivery on property
  • Champions Deerhaven Garden’s vision for product and service delivery and ensure alignment among staff
  • Review and create policies and procedures to increase organizational efficiency, allowing clinical staff to assist clients more effectively
  • Coordinate with Clinical Director, Admissions Coordinator, Therapist, Direct Support Staff, Medical team, Wellness providers, and CEO
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal licensing requirements, and that program is compliant with all policies and procedures set forth by Deerhaven Gardens
  • Lead crisis and conflict resolution with clients and staff
  • Assist when a patient is in crisis, and make appropriate referrals if needed
  • Conduct weekly operational staff meetings
  • Participate in weekly clinical meetings
  • Manages shift schedules for all Direct Support staff
  • Work with Clinical Director to fill case management needs including, but not limited to: individual, and group therapy, family contact, documentation, drug testing, and crisis intervention
  • On call as needed for clinical and administrative support
  • Conduct Client Chart Audits
  • Filing, copies, other office duties to complete case management duties
  • Transportation of clients to critical appointments
  • Preparation of group materials and researching new methodologies for inclusion in group and individual sessions
  • Facilitate process and educational groups
  • Organize and participate in Family Enrichment and Education Activities
  • Responsible for the recruitment, retention, discipline, evaluation, and training of all non-clinical
    department staff members
  • Participate, as part of the senior management team, agency planning and implementation of new program services
  • Evaluate all pre or post admission clinical data to coordinate treatment services on all clients admitted
  • Consult with admissions team as needed to ensure potential admissions meet inclusion criteria for admission
  • Ensures brand and regional business initiatives are implemented and communicates follow-up actions to team as necessary
  • Ensures core elements of the service strategy are in place to produce the desired results
  • Tours building on a regular basis speaking with employees and guests to understand business needs and assess operational opportunities

Qualifications/Requirements

Preferred

  • Personal experience utilizing the Sinclair Method in recovery
  • Knowledge of substance abuse issues and addictive behaviors
  • Experience with Crisis/Risk Management
  • Knowledge of treatment and referral community in North Carolina
  • Specific knowledge helpful in process addiction and treatment resources

Minimum

  • This position is required to enter the clients’ residential units 24 hours a day. Female gender is a required qualification of this position to protect client’s privacy and ability to successful rehabilitate in a women only alcohol addiction treatment facility.
  • Education background meets at least one of the following:
    • An Associate degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant management, or related field;
    • At least six years’ experience in management, operations, sales and marketing, or related professional area
    • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field; 4 years’ experience in the management operations, sales and marketing or related professional area
  • Must register as a Certified Prevention Specialist (formerly known as CSAPC) once hired through the North Carolina Addictions Specialist
  • Professional Practice Board (NCASPPB)
    • Will receive direct supervision from Clinical Director
  • Current certification in First Aid/CPR
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Current TB test clearance
  • Excellent documentation skills
